Malala Yousufzal Speaks Publicly for the First Time Since Taliban Attack
Malala Yousufzal speaks for the first time since being shot by the Taliban in the head for promoting womens’ education.
Telegraph reports that the 15-year-old underwent surgery this past weekend when surgeons attached a titanium plate in her head to bridge a gap in her shattered skull.
In a very eloquent video she says:
“Today you can see that I’m alive. I can speak. I can see you…I’m getting better day by day…because all the people, men women and children have prayed for me…God has given me a second life and I want to serve the people.”
This video will probably be the most heartwarming thing you’ll see today.
Malala Yousufzal was also TIME’s runner up for Person of the Year.
