Dinesh D’Souza’s Anti-Obama Film Sparks Both Outrage and Praise
Indian-American conservative Dinesh D’Souza’s new film 2016: Obama’s America has generated as much praise as fury after being released in more select theaters last weekend. The Associated Press fact-checked claims made in the controversial documentary in an article titled, “Fact Check: Anti-Colonial Obama Not Plausible,” echoing the buzz of skepticism surrounding the film.
D’Souza has since fired back at his critics and demanded an apology from the AP. Despite the backlash, the film has raked in just over $30 million dollars in the box office since opening in just one Texas theater in mid-July.
