Kal Penn’s Stinky Airplane Situation and More!

Kal Penn

Kal Penn has a stinky airline situtation. And in Bollywood, “Bol Bachchan” is already breaking records and “Gangs of Wasseypur” is officially banned in Kuwait and Qatar.

A Stinky Situation
Kal Penn had a mid-air bathroom emergency on an American Airlines flight from LAX to Dallas early Tuesday morning. The pilot made an emergency landing in Albuquerque after the aircraft’s toilets broke mid-flight to avoid a more serious, and smelly, situation. After the incident Penn tweeted “Toilet overflowed…My 1st emergency landing cuz of poop. Kinda funny kinda not.” [TMZ]

Make Em’ Laugh
Even before its release, “Bol Bachchan” broke records. The rom-com, which was released Friday, made history for selling out in multiplexes a week before it hit the big screen. Inspired by Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1979 classic comedy Gol Maal, revolves around two siblings, Abbas and Sania, causing a stir after moving to the remote village of Ranakpur. [Times of India]

For Mature Audiences Only
Anurag Kashyap’s thriller “Gangs of Wasseypur” has been banned in Kuwait and Qatar for being offensive to Muslims. The film, which also sparked protests in Wassaypur, caused outrage over its high violence and expletives. Kashyap released a statement saying, “I’m sorry your children can’t see my film, they can watch the Disney film, “Brave”, instead. We made a film for those with a mental age of over 18. I don’t have to be conservative because you are.” [Hindustan Times]
