Freida Pinto flaunted her flawless physique for an old Hollywood glamour photo spread in indie fashion magazine Flaunt. The actress dished in her past and current film roles, including her most recent project “Desert Dancer” and denied rumors she’s become a Hollywood diva.

Kaling Gives Back
Actress Mindy Kaling and her former “Office” co-star B.J. Novak are teaming up with 826LA, a writing center for kids in Los Angeles, to create a similar center back in their hometown Boston. To raise money for the program, Kaling and Novak are auctioning off a lunch with a fan valued at $5,000.

U.S. based Sony Pictures Television announced it will pay $271 million to ramp up its stake in India’s television network operator Multi Screen Media Private. Andy Kaplan, president of worldwide networks said, “SPT has enjoyed great success with our channels in India and this acquisition further demonstrates our commitment to entertaining Indian audiences. “The deal is expected to close by the end of December 2012.”

Actors Shahid Kapoor and Priyankya Chopra launched the 12-day, Indian Film Festival in Melbourne Wednesday. In a conference Chopra showed pride in Indian films being noticed worldwide saying, “What we offer as Indian movies is color and culture and music and celebration and drama and love, and I think that’s representative of our culture.”

And the Award Goes To…
Though a few big Bollywood names like the Bachchans or Shah Rukh Khan were absent Saturday night’s International Indian Film Academy awards, thousands of fans cheered on their favorite actors for a night of spectacular performances and awards. Ranbir Kapoor walked away with Best Actor for “Rockstar”, meanwhile Vidya Balan won Best Actress for her performance in “The Dirty Picture”.
