In Bollywood news, the U.S. and Yale issued formal apologies for Shahrukh Khan’s airport detainment, and actress Veena Malik signed on to star in her own “Dirty Picture” remake.
Just Mindy. Mindy Kaling’s FOX pilot finally got a title this week. The Bridget Jones’s Diary-esque comedy will simply be titled “Mindy”. Kaling and fellow cast members Ed Helms and Bill Hader began filming for the show at the beginning of April. (Huffington Post)

Dirty Picture Part Dos. Controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik is looking to give Vidya Balan a run for her money. Malik, who is currently shooting “Supermodel” in Australia, recently signed a remake of “The Dirty Picture”. The actress said she was immediately drawn to the powerful, female-centric role for her debut in South Asian cinema. Shooting begins on May 10. (Express Tribune)
Apologies, King Khan! The U.S. and Yale University have issued formal apologies for actor Shahrukh Khan’s detainment at a White Plains, NY airport. Khan satirically voiced his frustrations, telling the media: “Whenever I start feeling too arrogant about myself, I always take a trip to America…the immigration guys kicked the star out of stardom.” This is Khan’s second time being detained after a similar incident at a New York area airport in 2009. Balan’s funny bone. After starring in several intense dramas, actress Vidya Balan will show of her funny side in her latest project “Ghanchakkar”. Balan will plan a quirky Punjabi woman who finds herself in trouble after she and her husband encounter two thugs. The comedic thriller, directed by Raj Kumar, will begin filming this September.
