Americana Meets Maharaja in Thakoon’s Nail Polish Collection for NARS
Now that summer is officially around the corner, Thakoon will be dishing out a limited edition nail polish collection for NARS in six vibrant shades inspired by Indian spice markets. The Thai-American New York-based designer stuck to many of the same saturated hues he used in his Spring-Summer 2012 “Americana-meets-Maharaja” line.
Among the traditional, ultra-feminine shades are Anardana, an azalea pink, Ratin Jot, an orchid purple, and Lal Mirchi, a spicy red. Cooler tones include Kutki, a powder blue, and Koliary, a deep blue. The brightest of the bunch, Amchoor–named after the sour mango spice–is a vibrant burst of yellow. The nail polish collection hits store shelves and fingertips everywhere on May 1.
